All year round- you choose.
A hard climb up out the village then across the moor to descend gradually down Abney Clough to Hathersage. A short detour to Higger Tor then back down to Hathersage and follow the valley back to Bradwell. There are plenty of cafes in and around Hathersage. We stopped at the Grindstone Inn, where the main road climbs out of Hathersage.
A gentle start, crossing the valley floor before climbing onto Winn Hill the following the ridge around to Kinder. A short cafe/pub lunch in the Edale then up to Mam Nick and the then over Bradwell Moor back to descend into the village
The beautiful but colder White Peak. Few trees and lots of limestone. Over the moor to Peak Forest then a long descent to Millers Dale. Along the old railway line back to Cressbrook before the slow climb back up to Great Hucklow via the cafe at Wardlow Mires
Park on the main road up from the Shoulder of Mutton. Up through the village paths and out over the moor to Bradwell Trig. The fence line is the easiest route but the alternative direct route is very enjoyable but tough. Jennings Dale is access land and rarely visited with some large, protected mine shafts up the hillside on the far side. Bring a head torch to look into them!
I love this as a run. Up over the moor and slowly down the Stoke Ford then the valley back up to Abney then back over the moor to Bradwell
Climb out of Bradwekk to the mast then down to Shatton and onto the Winn Hill ridge up to the summit. Back via Aston and through the fields to Bradwell
The closest you will get to a flat run/ walk around Bradwell. Out via the cement works to Castleton, then back along the valley bottom.
